Level 4 or 5 before skin boosters?
Which step comes first, and why
Most people who ask about the Level 7 skin boosters certificate are really asking what to take first. The answer depends on what you already hold.
What Level 4 gives you
The Level 4 skin rejuvenation course is for practitioners ready to move past foundation treatments. It covers advanced microneedling, chemical peels, skin analysis and treatment planning, with practical sessions on live models. It asks for a recognised Level 3 beauty or aesthetics qualification.
What Level 5 adds
Level 5 builds on Level 4 and moves to practitioner level. Alongside advanced peels and skin needling it adds LED phototherapy, and it puts more weight on consultation and assessment. It asks for a recognised Level 4 and a Level 3 certificate in Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis Management.
Where Level 7 sits
Level 5 is the main gateway to Level 7 aesthetics qualifications. The skin boosters certificate then covers skin booster procedures, facial anatomy and treatment planning, and it suits healthcare professionals and qualified practitioners who meet its entry criteria.
How to decide
List your qualifications in a message to us on WhatsApp. If you already hold a Level 4, ask about Level 5. If you hold something higher or come from a healthcare background, ask whether you meet the Level 7 criteria. If you are in Glasgow, ask for dates and the way to where we train in Finchley, North London.
Ask which course is next
Tell us what you hold, and we will say which course comes next.
